Mary Ann Glade (Parker)

Mary Ann Glade (Parker)

Mary Anne Glade Parker (71) died on December 28, 2022, at her home in Redding, California. After struggling with heart problems for over a year, she has laid her mortal body to rest as she awaits the coming day when she will receive a perfected heart.

Mary Anne was sealed for time and eternity to her husband, John Robert Parker, March 14, 1975, in the Manti Utah Temple. They subsequently welcomed eight children into their family, and in more recent years she enjoyed creatively grandmothering 25 grandchildren. From crochet-edged baby blankets to Facetime math lessons to sharing stories over the phone from her childhood growing up on a farm in Bountiful, Mary Anne found many ways to connect with her family no matter how far the distance. Throughout her life, her love of the Savior and His gospel shone brightly and guided her willingness to serve friends and family in many unique ways. She especially loved music, not even needing to look at the words on the page as she sang hymns with her whole heart, testifying of truths she held dear. She gladly taught songs to children at home and in various church roles over the years.

Mary Anne passed from this life to be greeted with a joyful welcome on the other side of the veil from her predeceased loved ones: her mother and father, Leilah and Richard Larkin Glade; her brother, David Glade; her daughter, Angela Parker; and 2 grandchildren. She is survived by her brother, Richard Glade; sisters, Suzi Glade and Sheila (Earl) Price; many nieces and nephews; and seven of her children: Shalynn (Stan) Nelson, Danielle (Logan) Underwood, Rick Parker, Holly (Nolan) Tolman, BethAnne Parker, Brianna (Steve) Stapley, and Merridee Brown.
