RANDY WALTER THOMAS 1952-2015

Randy Walter Thomas, age 63, passed away Monday, October 5, 2015 in Boise, Idaho surrounded by his loving family.  He was born May 14, 1952 to Walter and Dee Thomas.

Randy was born in Salt Lake City and raised in Bountiful, Utah.  He was a United States Coast Guardsman for 22 years, an amazing family man who loved the outdoors, sports, camping, and fishing.  Life with Randy was such an adventure, from the beaches of Hawaii, California, & Oregon, to the mountains of Alaska and Utah, he was always the first to laugh and to laugh the loudest.  Our family could not have been blessed with a more loving, generous, or forgiving man.

Survived by wife, Christine Thomas: children Jennifer Dunn, Henry (Jennifer) LIttle, Jason (Kristina) Thomas, and DeVon Thomas; 10 grandchildren and 6 great grand children; sister Debbie (Shawn) Marshall; brothers Ron (Diane) Thomas & Sam (Jackie) Thomas.  Preceded in death by parents, Walt & Dee Thomas, sister Sue, and niece Jaimie.

On Sunday Nov. 1, 2015, military honors were held at 12:00 p.m. in Bountiful Cemetary.

The family requests in lieu of flowers or donations that you take a moment to hug your spouse, child, grandchild, friend, or take a walk in the woods for a moment, an hour or a day.  Time waits for no one.

Randy and I grew up just blocks from each other.  We were together in school from 2nd grade on.  He was just a flat-out nice guy!  I will miss him.  Love and prayers to his family!

Randy was my first date, first kiss and you never forget your first crush. I'm looking at a picture of the 1968 homecoming dance, double dating with Wendy Rawlins and Rob Hadley, and remembering the fun places the four of us would go. Randy was a very kind-hearted, fun, sincere guy. After many, many years I recently connected with Randy via Facebook, about four months ago.  I could tell he was very passionate about family and especially America.  Thanks for blessing so many of us Randy.
