DONALD CALVIN MOSS

Nov. 6, 1951 – Feb. 7, 2023

Donald Calvin Moss passed away peacefully, February 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family.  Although our hearts are broken, he had suffered long enough from dementia and many other health problems.

Don was born Nov. 6, 1951, to Calvin and Sylvia Worsley Moss.  He grew up in North Salt Lake, hiking and exploring the nearby mountains, that he loved.  Don was a lover of old things and spent the happiest times of his life exploring the outdoors.  He graduated from Viewmont High School.  He was a structural steel designer by profession and Co-owner of Advanced Steel Design.

Don had 2 children, with Michelle Wintch, Eric and Katie, that he loved dearly, and 3 grandsons that he adored so much.

Reuniting with his high school sweetheart, he married Chris (Weese) Mooney in 2012.  The spent precious time together exploring and traveling.  Don loved her 4 children and gained more grandsons.

Don is survived by his loving wife, Chris, children and grandchildren, sister, Diane Nouri, brothers: Doug (Lauren) Moss and Ed (Sally) Moss.

On Monday, February 13th, a Celebration of Life Open House will be held at Waterbury Clubhouse, 1550 Waterbury Way in Murray, Utah from 4:30 – 7:00. A private family viewing and burial at Elysian Burial Gardens, in Millcreek Utah precede the Celebration of Life.

Don’s family would like to thank Dr. Doug Romney, Dr. Dennis Blagev, Dr. Jennish and Dr. Frampton for their kindness and compassion, as well as many nurses, PT and OT therapists that helped him.

Another childhood friend to mourn. It's sad to hear that he suffered in his latter years.
