Bill Jent

Bill Jent

William Jent - Born August 24, 1952 - April 30, 2008

Tribute by his son Travis:  Bill passed away on April 30, 2008, from complications from a motorcycle accident and not being in the best of health.  Concrete and construction were in his blood.  Making foreman at a young age and superintendent soon after, he went on to a successful career in the highway construction industry, traveling around the country, managing the biggest jobs he woulc find.  He lived life to its fullest, never turning down an adventure or an opportunity for a prank or to make people laugh.

He enjoyed traveling, scuba diving, flying, sailing, and riding motorcycles.  I think he loved water the most and recall he lettered in swimming at VHS.  I think he still has his letterman's jacket stored away somewhere.  Bill's mother (Winifred) passed away a few years after Bill and then his sister Nancy a few years after grandma Wini.

He is survived by Travis, my sister Mikel (his adopted daughter) and his grandkids, Lincoln, Bella and Corbin.  He is missed often.

It's so sad to find out another good friend from our past has moved on.  Bill was fun and kind yet a bit mischievous,  always up for an adventure. I'm sorry we did not stay in touch all these years, but your memory is still with your old friends. See you on the other side Bill.

Bill and I were good friends, we had a lot of fun back in the day.  We got into our fair share of trouble in his orange pickup truck with a 409 and a 4 speed.  There was a lot of time spent working on our cars to just break them on State Street (and probably some more trouble).  God speed my friend.
