Johnell Chabries

Johnell Charlene Chabries - Feb. 17, 1952 - Dec.1, 2021

Sweet, quiet Johnell was the only daughter of Melvin Edward Chabries and Maxine Westover Chabries.  She was the apple of her father's eye who frequently referred to her a "Princess."

Throughout her life, she faced many health challenges.  She graduated from Viewmont High with the highest of honors and then served honorably as a missionary in the Arcadia, California Mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.

She enrolled and graduated from Salt Lake Community College and spent her career at Questar.  She  survived being in a coma for 6 weeks and came out of it singing "I'm in the mood for love."

She loved dogs and pampered them as though they were privileged members of the family.

She always remained faithful to her testimony of her Savior, Jesus Christ.

Johnell was found by family seated on her couch with a craft project, still holding Christmas ribbon in her hand.  She apparently had simply closed her eyes and slipped away.  She is survived by her three brothers, Doug, Mike and Ted.

Her funeral services were held Sat. Dec. 11 at Russon Brother's Mortuary.  Interment will be at Lakeview Memorial Cemetery in Bountiful, Utah.

We lost track of this sweet classmate, until her obituary was posted in the Davis Journal.  Rest in peace Johnell.
