DOUGLAS FORD TRUMP - February 11, 1952 - April 22, 2018 (age 66)

Douglas Ford Trump, passed away April 22, 2018 from brain cancer at the age of 66, in Farmington, UT.  Doug was born on Feb. 11, 1952 in Salt Lake City, UT.  He has three cherished children and one dear stepson;  Misty (Robert James), Ryan (Jessica Trump), Richard (Melissa Trump), and Troy Pitts.

He was preceded in death by his father, Robert; mother Estella and two brothers Ronald and Roland Trump.

Doug has six grandchildren, Trevor and Madison James, Harper and Mavis Trump, Easton and Alivia Trump.

He is survived by his sweet wife; Grace and his sister Phyllis (Darol Wintle), brothers; Roger (Nan Trump), Bryce (Kelley Trump).

Doug's words written by himself;  I decided to write my own obituary so I could give you my version of my life.  I started working with my dad building homes in Centerville, UT while I was attending Viewmont High School and later received my general contractor's license.

I tried to do the best I could, sometimes I succeeded and at times I failed, but I tried.  I worked hard and made a lot of good friends.  For all my crazy comments, jokes and complaints, I really did love my family and friends.  I didn't always do the right thing or say the right thing and when you comes to the end of your life those are the things that you regret most, the small simple things that hurt other people.

Writing my own obituary is good because I get a chance to say thank you to all those who loved me, cared for me, laughed with me and taught me things so that I could have a wonderful life.  I was blessed by knowing all of you - that is what made my life worthwhile.

If you think of me, and would like to do something to honor my memory - do this:  Love your family, tell them how much they have had a positive effect on your life.  Turn off the electronics and take a child out for ice cream and talk to them about their hopes and dreams.  Forgive, be honest, loyal and work hard.  Stop at little lemonade stands.  Make someone smile today.

Funeral services were held April 26, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the Farmington Rock Chapel.  Burial at the Centerville City Cemetary.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Utah Humane Society or Best Friends Animal Society.
