John Popham Anderson: 1952 - 2001

John Popham Anderson, 49, loving son, brother, husband, father and friend was taken from his family and returned to his Heavenly Father on Tuesday, Oct. 9th, 2001.

He was born April 30, 1952 in Soda Springs, Idaho to Ray and Rita Anderson.  He resided in Grace, Idaho  at the Utah Power and Light Plant until he was 10, then moved to Bountiful, UT where he graduated from Viewmont High School.  He served an L.D.S. missioon to the Eastern States Mission.  He married Jana Webb on Feb. 13, 1981 in the Logan, L.D.S. Temple.

John and Jana settled with their five boys: Matt, Brett, Trevor, Rory and Micah in LaVerkin, UT.  John was a barber to St. George for many years and had established many wonderful relationships with his customers.  He was very prespected and loved by all who knew him.

Of all his many hobbies, sports and reading were his two favorites.

He served faithfully in many callings in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day. Saints.  At the time of his death he was Ward Mission Leader.  He enjoyed teaching the jospel of Jesus Christ, which we know he is still doing.

John was a devoted husband and father.  He supported his wife and children in their various activities.

John is survived by his wife Jana Anderson, and their five boys.  Matt, currently serving a mission in Porto Alegre North Brazil, Brett, 18, Trevot, 15, Rory 12, and Micah 9, his mother, Rita Anderson; Dean (Kathy), Anderson, Greg (Ellen) Anderson, Doyle and Nonie Webb (mother and father-in-law; Steve (Lore) Webb, Scott (Vicky) Webb; Don (Jodi) Webb; Lisa (Dennis) Rogers; Dena (Chuck) Elliott.  He was preceded in death by his father, Ray and his brother, Art.
